Neoprene has an excellent balance of properties, with good oil resistance, good weather resistance and good mechanical strength.
Silicone withstands both high and low temperatures and is more resilient than other rubber materials. Silicone has excellent weathering properties and also maintains its shape over longer periods of time than other rubber materials.
EPDM is ideal for use outdoors and has excellent resistance to weather and is particularly well suited for use in water, steam and chemical applications.
Viton is excellent for high temperatures, oils, and chemicals.
Buna-N is an excellent choice for oil and water resistance, but lacks UV resistance.
Natural Rubber is stronger than all other rubber materials except Polyurethane, it also has greater elongation or stretchability than most rubber materials.
Polyurethane is far stronger than other rubber materials with exception tensile strength and tear resistance.
